What to include in a bug report
The more of this you can give me, the faster it gets fixed:
- What happened, and what you expected to happen instead.
- Steps to reproduce it — even roughly.
- Where it happened: iPhone, Apple Watch, or both.
- App version (Account → About → Version) and your iOS / watchOS version.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you can grab one.
- For workout or sync issues: roughly when the workout was, and how long it lasted.
Common questions
My Apple Watch workout didn't show up on my iPhone.
Open the app on both devices with them near each other and unlocked, and give it a moment. Workouts transfer over a direct connection rather than the cloud, so the phone has to be reachable. If a workout is still missing after that, email me with the date and rough duration.
My run is missing its map.
Route and heart-rate detail transfer separately from the workout summary, and only when the phone confirms it saved them. Open both apps together and it should fill in. This was a real bug for runs of about an hour or longer, fixed in version 1.3.1 — if you're on an earlier version, please update.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. There are no accounts and no cloud database. That also means I can't look up your data to debug it — which is why details in a bug report matter so much.
How do I restore a purchase?
Account → the subscription section → Restore Purchases, using the same Apple ID you bought with. If it doesn't restore, email me.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Tell me what went wrong as well — if it's something I can fix, I'd rather fix it.
Feature requests
Genuinely welcome, and several shipped features started as emails from users. Tell me the problem you're trying to solve rather than the feature you have in mind — it often turns out there's a better answer.
Privacy
No accounts, no cloud sync, no third-party analytics. Details in the privacy policy.
