Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. The full app works on iPhone alone — workout logging, GPS cardio, history, insights, everything. The Apple Watch companion is there if you want hands-free logging and live heart rate, but it's optional.

Where is my workout data stored?

On your device. StrengthAnalytics has no cloud database, no user accounts, and no third-party analytics. Your workouts live in SwiftData on your iPhone, and HealthKit data stays where Apple keeps it. Nothing is uploaded.

How does Cross-Training Impact actually work?

Over a rolling 12-week window, the app looks at your weekly cardio volume alongside when your strength PRs occur. It surfaces one of three states: Complementary (cardio is helping), Possible Interference (cardio may be hurting strength), or Strength Dominant (you're not doing enough cardio to measure impact). It's the interference effect, made visible.
